As a candidate - In his own words

    • "I am running for judge to serve the county that I’ve come to love."

    • "I believe all leaders, whether they are judges, political, religious or civic leaders, must be a part of the community in which they serve in order to be effective."


  • His family

    • Lewis and his wife Sandra have been Allen County residents for 24 years and have two married children and four grandchildren.

  • As a lawyer    

    • Lewis is a member of the Indiana State and Allen County Bar Associations, and The Benjamin Harrison chapter of the American Inns of Court (Master).

    • Lewis has been in private law practice for 18 years in Allen County. His practice includes criminal law, family law and tax litigation.

    • Lewis is also a part-time deputy public defender and accepts court appointments in child abuse and neglect cases.                  

  • Early professional life and education

    • Lewis graduated from Quinnipiac University School of Law in Connecticut in 1980.

    • Lewis has worked as a sixth grade teacher, high school counselor and a union factory worker.

    • Following law school he worked on the corporate management staff of UTC Corporation (Pratt & Whitney Aircraft and Essex), resigning in 1992 to open his law practice.

  • As a member of the community

    • Lewis is active in the community as a member of Trinity Episcopal Church,where he serves on the Vestry, acolytes and is  a Stephen Minister Candidate.

    • Lewis is a member of the Central Lions Club andCornerstone Youth Center in Monroeville.

    • Lewis is the past president of the Associated Churches of Fort Wayne and Allen County and past national chair of the National Parent Council-NUL.
